About the game
Chess on a smaller board means fewer pieces, fewer moves and a result in just a few minutes. This one offers 25 variants, from 4x4 up to 6x6, including Gardner, Los Alamos and Petty Chess along with some original layouts. Each board comes with a short history note and a rules card.
You face the AI at one of four difficulty levels. A win unlocks the next board and earns a star, and the stars feed a leaderboard ranking. Undo is there when you slip, and the text is available in Korean and English.
How to play
- White is your side, so the first move is always yours. Touch one of your pieces and its possible moves light up, then touch a lit square to send the piece there.
- Win by capturing or checkmating the enemy king. Pawns promote on the last rank, and there is no castling or en passant.
- Open the Rules button to check pawn double-steps and draw conditions for the board you picked.
- Undo takes back your last move. When your undos run out, a short ad gives you one more.
