About the game
3D Chess - Arcane Edition is chess on a board in a fairytale garden, with copper and gold pieces you can spin around and zoom into. You capture pieces and aim to trap the opposing king in checkmate.
Playing alone, you face a computer opponent running Stockfish. Pick Easy, Medium, or Hard, and change it mid-game if the match feels too soft or too brutal. To play a friend, create a private room and send over the code. No account is needed. Text is available in 21 languages.
How to play
- Touch or click the piece you want to move, then choose one of the lit squares. Glowing dots mark every legal move.
- Land on an enemy piece's square to capture it. Checkmate the opposing king to win.
- Drag to turn the camera around the board, and pinch or scroll to zoom.
- The lightbulb button shows the best move, up to 3 times per game. In solo mode it needs a short ad. The gear icon lets you change difficulty, toggle move hints, or mute the sound.
