About the game
Checkmate the enemy king and the match is yours. You pick who sits across the board: the computer, a friend sharing your screen, or a player online. Against the computer, the opponent runs from Beginner to World Champion, so there is always a level that fits your day.
Pick a pace too, from Unlimited to Bullet, Blitz, Rapid or Classic. Hints, undo and a post-game review help you spot where a game went wrong. You can also restyle the board and pieces, and send cartoon emotions to your opponent.
How to play
- Start by choosing the game type: online, versus the computer, or two players on the same screen. Against the computer, set the difficulty and decide on hints and handicap.
- Players alternate turns. Aim to checkmate the king: it is attacked and has no safe square left.
- Special moves are included: castling, en passant, and draws by stalemate, repeated positions or agreement.
